4Dorset is officially launched!

“New year, new title,” was how the latest magazine from the mags4dorset team was unveiled in the community as its predecessor Town & Village faded into the background.

At the official launch party of 4Dorset, the Mayor of Ferndown gave a speech saying that the family business, run by Janine, Ben and Louis Pulford, had published popular community magazines for ten years. He congratulated them on the rebranding and wished them every success with the new title. “Here's to the next ten years,” he said. “The magazines are well read in the area and very necessary.”

Bill Davis, the ambassador for Verwood & District Chamber of Trade added that community magazines were all about reinventing the high street in difficult times. “Janine and her small team do this admirably,” he said.

And former Wimborne mayor, Anthony Oliver MBE, who was recently made a Freeman of Wimborne, agreed with the sentiments adding, “I look forward to the magazines as there is a great deal to read in them.”

Janine concluded with a big thank you to all those who joined the mags4dorset team for the relaunch. Photos will be published in the next issue of 4Dorset, due out on 1 February 2012.

mags4dorset publishes 4Dorset, Viewpoint Magazine, Ferndown Matters, town guides and events programmes.

The website, twice monthly newsletters, Twitter and Facebook give added value to advertisers and this website received over 1 million hits last September, breaking all records.

The winner of the full page feature including a free advertisement and business profile was Mr P Webb of Dorset Water Softeners.

Steve Saville of Forest FM 92.3 interviewed Janine and Ben live at the event and this will be broadcast tonight between 7-8pm.
