The Sky Pod has arrived in Moors Valley Country Park near Ringwood and will be opening to the public on 20 July.
This exciting attraction allows visitors to experience the magic of the rainforest.
For two weeks (until 2 August) the Sky Rainforest Rescue pod will be under the forest canopy in East Dorset bringing visitors up close and personal with the amazing wealth of plants and animals that live in the Amazon, and the deforestation that threatens its future.
With 3D cinema, interactive floor, six video screens and quizzes, this ‘virtual rainforest’ experience encourages visitors to learn about the people of the Amazon, their culture and livelihoods, and the threat that deforestation poses for the species that inhabit the forest.
“Moors Valley is one of only three places in the UK to host the Sky Rainforest Rescue pod this year and we are certain our visitors are going to really enjoy the way it brings the forest to life,” said Andrew Norris, Forestry Commission Head Ranger.
The Sky Rainforest Rescue pod will be open daily from 9am–6pm, admission is free although parking charges do apply. For more information go to www.moors-valley.co.uk or call the Rangers on 01425 470721.
