A vintage year for Talbot Heath

Talbot Heath School is celebrating after winning twenty-six first places at the 82nd Bournemouth Music Competitions Festival.

The school enjoyed particular success in the music categories with its Cantabile group coming first in the vocal ensemble class. There were a further six first places for students in the singing classes and an additional five in the woodwind and string categories.

In the speech and drama categories, Tiffany Hannam-Daniels achieved a total of eight first places. Other first places went to Nathalie Green-Buckley, Mirabel Stuart and Olivia Parham.

Christine Dipple, Talbot Heath’s Head said, “This has been a vintage year for the school at the festival. We have a wonderful musical tradition at Talbot Heath, which seems to go from strength to strength and is a source of great pride.

“The twenty-six first places are not only a reflection of the talent and hard work of our students, but also the inspired teaching of Andy Hill and Elaine Williams in our music department.”
