Tim Lee from AdLib (The Association of the Friends of Dorset Libraries) is urging people to write to their county councillors and lobby hard to convince them to vote for the option (D) to retain all 34 libraries.  The voting on the future of Dorset Libraries will take place at the full council meeting of Dorset County Council on 21 July.   The other Option on the table is B.  This will retain 25 libraries and work towards 9 community libraries.

The 9 threatened libraries and their councillors are as follows:
Burton Bradstock – R W Coatsworth (Con)
Charmouth – Col G W Brierley (Con)
Chickerell – Ian Gardner (Con)
Colehill – Janet Dover (Lib Dem)
Corfe Castle – Michael Lovell (Con)
Portland, Underhill – Les Ames (Independent)
Puddletown – David Crowhurst (Con)
Stalbridge – David C Fox (Lib Dem)
Wool - Mrs Alex Brenton (Lib Dem)
