Air Ambulance 10th Anniversary

The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance held its 10th Anniversary celebrations at Henstridge airfield at the weekend.

Hundreds of people gathered, many of whom had been rescued, including Ken Duffield, the ambulance's first patient.

A mock rescue, flying displays, a falconry display, majorettes and a pipe band all contributed towards the wonderful atmosphere. A raffle, donation buckets and silent auction also raised money. For a full report see Town & Village (July 2010 issue).
