Police in Christchurch are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a robbery took place in the Grange area.
The incident, in which a person pushed a 48-year-old woman to the ground and took her handbag, happened outside McColls Newsagents in Somerford Road at about 6pm on Monday, 14 June. The victim suffered cuts and grazes to her hand.
Police Constable Liz Lawson, of Christchurch Police said, “The victim had just stepped out of her car and locked it. She was then pushed from behind which caused her to fall to the ground and her handbag was taken.
“As she stood back up, she saw a person running away from her and across the Somerford Road towards the direction of Draper Road.”
The offender is about six feet tall and of average build and was wearing a light grey hooded tracksuit top with the hood up and grey tracksuit bottoms.
PC Lawson continued, “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident and anyone with any information about the person responsible, to contact me as soon as possible.”
