The Bournemouth Shakespeare Players are presenting their 32nd Annual Shakespeare in the Priory House Gardens in Christchurch in July 2010. Following the success of last year's production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ they are embarking on their production of William Shakespeare's ‘Romeo and Juliet.’
This play is possibly the most famous love story of all. It has spanned the generations and has been performed and filmed many times including the musical ‘West Side Story.’ The story is so universal that it has been set in many different periods both modern and historical.
Auditions will be held on Monday 11 and Friday 15 January 2010 at St Joseph’s Hall, corner of Archway Road and Bournemouth Road, Parkstone, Poole at 7.45pm.
All parts are available and backstage help is also needed. You are asked to read the play before the audition, but there is no requirement for you to have acted in a Shakespeare play before.
The company always welcomes new members and there are plenty of jobs to do to get the play in to production. If you are interested in auditioning or helping backstage with everything from props, costumes to set building then come along on Monday and Friday. If you would like any further information please telephone (01202) 534776 or e-mail bsp75@btinternet.com.
