Students at Avonbourne Business & Enterprise College are celebrating outstanding GCSE results for the second year running.
71% of girls at the Bournemouth secondary achieved five A* to C grades, with 58% reaching the national benchmark of also including English and mathematics.
This is the second consecutive summer that 71 per cent of Avonbourne pupils have scored so well in their GCSE’s and it is a four per cent increase on the school’s 2009 national benchmark results.
“Oops we’ve done it again,” said head teacher, Debbie Godrey-Phaure. “These fantastic results are testament to the hard work of our young women, our staff and the support of our parental network.
“This is a true and deep school partnership between everyone to enhance the future career prospects of our students.”
