Bag it! Bin it! Win it!

A Wimborne resident has become the first winner of the town’s summer 2010 recycling competition.

Mrs Rosalind Taylor won £50 to spend in shops in Wimborne Minster, simply for recycling correctly using the kerbside green bag and box scheme.

The competition continues throughout August.  For a chance to become a prizewinner all residents have to do is put their green bag and box out on collection day, making sure only the correct materials are inside.

Cllr Packer, from Wimborne Minster Town and East Dorset District said, “This competition is a great way of raising the profile of the green bag and box scheme. Hopefully, it will encourage more people to recycle as well as rewarding existing recyclers.”
