Band’s popularity soars

Local band Verwood Concert Brass played to a packed house at The Hub last  weekend. The band’s Christmas Concert has become so popular that, for the first time, performances were given on both the Friday and Saturday nights.

Verwood Concert Brass has flourished over the four years of David Johnson’s tenure as musical director. The A Band has moved from fourth to first section in the national brass band contest ratings and the three bands that form VCB now boast a total membership of over 80 players.
