Blue Light Roadshow

Over 700 people turned up to the Blue Light Roadshow held at Wimborne Police/Fire Station.

The event was organised to showcase the demanding and varied work of the emergency services and partner agencies. Visitors spent the day interacting and watching demonstrations and exhibitions, and gaining a greater understanding of the work undertaken by the services.

There were displays from Dorset Police, Dorset Fire and Rescue Service and South Western Ambulance Service, among others.

Money raised from the day will go to the emergency services benevolent fund, which helps emergency service personnel and their families in times of genuine hardship.

East Dorset Section Commander, Inspector Neil Leat said, “What an absolutely fantastic day. It was a brilliant way to display all the good work that the emergency services and our partners are accomplishing in East Dorset.”
