Charity golf day for Mosaic

Verwood Rotary Club has just held its fifth annual charity golf day at Crane Valley Golf Club which raised over £1,000.

One of the charities supported by Rotary is Mosaic, a Dorset based organisation that supports bereaved children, young people, parents and carers. Outgoing president John Wadge handed over a cheque for £750 to Margaret Hannibal from the charity.

The rest of the money raised will go to purchasing Shelterboxes, which are distributed to areas that suffer both natural and man-made disasters.

Nearly 20 teams played on the day and the results were as follows:
1st - Rushmore Raiders
2nd - Alan Froud Potatoes
Nearest the Pin on 6th hole - Adrian White
Nearest the Pin on 13th hole - J. Neal
Longest Drive on 14th hole - Simon Guy
