Cliff top path to be refurbished

A joint venture between Christchurch Borough Council and Highcliffe Residents’ Association CIC is leading to a newly-refurbished and extended path along Highcliffe cliff top.

The two partners have contributed equal amounts of the £6,500 needed to relay the worn out path fronting the cliff top car park near the Cliffhanger Café and extend it with a new path leading to the Culmore steps and Wharncliffe Road.

John Morgan, treasurer of the HRACIC, said: “The old path was just on grass so it became very worn and muddy and puddles collected there in wet weather. We saw that it needed improving for access to the village and the beaches so we put in the funding to encourage more people to the area for the benefit of the residents and the traders.”
