Club 31 closes its doors

Members of Club 31 in Verwood were shocked to learn that the doors were closed for the last time on 29 December. The decision came just before the planned New Year's Eve party and staff lost their jobs. So far no one has been available for comment, but local people are disappointed about the closure. Resident Michael Poulter said, “Club 31 will be missed. I am very sad that Verwood has lost another community facility.”

Club 31 rose from the ashes following closure of the facility by the Royal British Legion in mid-February 2010.
