Club 31 Open Day

Verwood’s brand new entertainments and community venue Club 31 is all set for its official opening on 17 July.

The months of work saving the British Legion premises from closure have paid off and Club 31 is being launched in style.

“We’ve got something for everyone!” said Entertainments Manager, Michelle Poole. “We’ll have displays and stalls from local groups and societies, we’ve got face-painting, clowns and stilt-walkers too - plus Verwood Concert Brass, dance displays, live music,  food and drink offers – plus, a host of other goodies that are simply too good to miss.”

Club 31 opens at 11am and throughout the day will feature:
A tasty finger-buffet; hot, fresh coffee and tea; soft drinks – ALL FREE
A FREE beer-tasting stall presented by Ringwood Brewery
A brand new menu for Club 31’s refurbished restaurant
An amazing live band Jamtastic

Operations Manager Alan Dorey adds “There’s the chance to take out Club 31 memberships too. These give access to great food and drink prices, regular quality entertainments and – of course – low, low rates for hiring our facilities for events and functions”

Club 31 regulars have already seen some of the big improvements being made to the Club’s facilities. A lighter, larger bar-lounge; new lighting, air-conditioning, signage, car park facilities, a refurbished kitchen and a good lick of paint too.

“The great thing is, we’ve also created some much needed extra jobs at Club 31 – all part of our determination to support the local community. We’re professionals, we know what we need to do to make it a success – but by putting something back into the area, we’re aiming for Club 31 to be here for the long term.” said Alan Dorey, also emphasising that the management committee donate all their time and efforts without pay.
