Over the festive season, many women will treat themselves to at least one extra special new outfit to wear.
Once worn, these outfits are often hidden in the back of the wardrobe, with the new sparkly top or little black dress being favoured. So if you have a festive ensemble you have loved but will not wear again, why not donate it to a Marie Curie Cancer Care Shop for someone else to enjoy?
Every time you donate to a Marie Curie Shop, or treat yourself to something from it, you will help fund nursing care for terminally ill people across the UK. Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality free nursing, to patients in their own homes and in the charity’s 10 hospices.
Television presenter and Marie Curie Cancer Care supporter Julia Bradbury said: “Please ‘detox’ your party wardrobe in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. You will be helping the charity to provide free nursing care to terminally ill people, so they can be surrounded by the people they love the most at the end of their lives. I recently visited a Marie Curie Shop and was really impressed by the range of clothes on offer.
“We’ve all got a fabulous little something that we won’t wear again, so why not drop in, do something good and you never know, you might find yourself a bargain while you are there.”
