The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance flew a woman in her 20s to hospital this morning (Thursday, Feb 4) after she had been trapped in her crashed car for more than two hours.
The woman’s car crashed into a garden beside the A30 between East Stour and West Stour, near Shaftesbury, at about 10 am.
She suffered head, arm, and leg injuries, and air ambulance paramedics treated her inside the car while firefighters worked to release her from the wreckage.
The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance then took less than 20 minutes to airlift the patient to the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
