East Dorset waste collections back to normal

East Dorset District Council's waste and recycling collection service resumed normal service on 5 February after severe disruption caused by this week's adverse weather conditions.

The council was unable to collect:

•     green recycling bags and boxes on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday
•     brown bins on Monday or Tuesday
•     refuse sacks on Tuesday

Residents affected are advised to store their waste and recyclables until their next scheduled collection, or take them to their local recycling centre.

Lindsay Cass, the Council's Head of Technical Services said: "Some waste collection services were cancelled earlier this week as it was not safe for crews to be working in such hazardous conditions.

“The Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by this temporary break in service and is grateful to residents for their understanding in this matter."
