Favourite artwork to be announced
The Verwood Annual Art Exhibition, organised by John and Cathy Collins at the Verwood Heritage Centre has just come to a close (18 September). Residents have been voting for their favourite picture to win the Muriel Williams trophy. Muriel founded the Verwood Annual Art Exhibition seven years ago.
Local artist Muriel Williams founded the exhibition and ran it for the first five years. In recognition of her hard work, the Muriel Williams trophy was introduced last year. The winner is decided by the visitors who vote for their favourite picture. Last year's winner was a watercolour by David Hopley.
