Young Kennel Club (YKC) member, Christina Hoare from Ferndown will get her moment in the ring at Crufts on Friday, 6 March, after being placed fourth in the Rebecca Pointer Memorial Award 2008.
The annual competition runs for YKC members aged 8-18 years and the trophy is presented at Crufts to the member who has achieved the most with their dog in the world of obedience.
The presentation gives recognition to both the members and dogs for working so hard at obedience shows all year. Points are awarded for wins and places at YKC events and classes: Companion, Limited, Open and Championship shows. The award can only be won once by a YKC member.
Barbara Pointer will present the trophy on Friday, 6 March to the winner Daniel Thompson, with his working sheepdog Mills on Wheels.
All those placed will also get their moment to appear in the ring with their working sheepdogs.
