Flagg down, Gear-y up

Cllr Nick Geary, a councillor for the North Highcliffe and Walkford ward, has been sworn in as new Mayor of the Ancient Borough of Christchurch in Dorset. He succeeds Cllr David Flagg, who handed over the chain of office at the recent mayor making ceremony.

Cllr Geary will be supported during his year of office by his wife Gillian.

His mayoral charities are Christchurch Activities for Young People, First Opportunities and Portfield School.

Cllr Mrs Sue Spittle is the deputy mayor.
