Three men and a teenage boy have been jailed for between two and five years after robbing two men in separate incidents in Bournemouth town centre – one of the victims being beaten.
Both the incidents happened in Cotlands Road, one involving a 26-year old victim from Bournemouth on the 17 August 2008 and the other a 24-year old Bournemouth man on the following day.
The three men and the teenage boy were sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on 23 January 2009 after a two-day trial at Bournemouth Crown Court on 8 and 9 December 2008.
Dean Rees Doran, aged 23, was found guilty of two robbery charges.
Adam Matthew Skeats, aged 24, was found guilty of four robbery charges and one charge of assault by beating.
Simon Paul Conway, aged 31, was found guilty of seven robbery charges.
A 17-year old boy from Bournemouth – who cannot be identified for legal reasons – was found guilty of one robbery charge.
Conway was sentenced to five years in prison, Skeats was jailed for four years while Doran was sentenced to a jail term of three years and four months.
The 17-year old boy was given a two-year detention and training order.
