Fun Run – a matter of application

Whether you are a serious runner or not, now is the time to get your application in for the Ferndown Rotary club’s Fun Run on Sunday 29 March.  

Applications have already been rolling in, so this may be a record field for this year’s event being staged at the Avon Heath Country Park.
For the youngsters aged 7 to 13 years old, a 2.5km run will take place. For those aged 14 and over, the distance will be either 5km or 10km. 

Details are now available on www.fernrotfunrun.co.uk.  Applications are being accepted on line via www.runnersworld.co.uk.  Alternatively, application forms can be obtained from SAM News in Ferndown, from local athletics clubs or from fitness clubs in the area.

Ferndown Rotary aims to raise around £2000 from the event, all of it to be ploughed back into activities for local youngsters.

Winners of each event get a trophy, with the second and third through the tape getting place medals.  Those completing their race will receive a course medal.
