Greek Elroy pleads for a home

The Ringwood charity, Friends of the Strays of Greece held their Christmas Fair on Saturday and raised £1156 to go towards housing and feeding strays in Hakida and Aegina.

The animal shelter in Hakida is currently being weatherproofed for the winter and the cost of feeding the dogs at this shelter costs around £200 a week.  

One young dog pleading for a loving home is Elroy.  He is about a year old and very playful.  

Elroy was rescued from the fires in Athens and is hoping for a new home in the New Year.

If someone suitable can be found in time, Elroy will join eight other dogs who are booked to come to England in January.
