Haggis and Bagpipes

Bournemouth’s Castlepoint shopping Park will reverberate with the stirring sound of bag pipes on Wednesday, 25 January to celebrate Burns Night.  As the piper plays, a procession will take place by one of Castlepoint’s Scottish employees Ian MacMillan, followed by a a recitation of Burns' poetry at 4pm.   Shoppers will be invited to try a free sample of Haggis outside Marks and Spencer on the upper level.

Castlepoint’s General Manager Peter Matthews said that the celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns will be appreciated by many of the park’s visitors.

“We look forward to seeing our Glaswegian Ian in full kilt for the procession and hope that many people will sample the taste of haggis for the first time.”
