Helped by the RAF

A Chinook helicopter from RAF Odiham has helped Christchurch Council by airlifting some heavy material to construct a path on a marshy part of the borough.

Up until now, countryside service officers and volunteers have been dragging heavy wooden sleepers across Priory Marsh to improve parts of a public right of way across the marsh, which gets particularly wet. This work has been back-breaking and getting increasingly difficult.
