Children at Queen’s Park Junior School in Bournemouth have been helped with their musical skills by professional composer, Paul Rissman from the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO).
The composer project is assisting youngsters at eight schools across the borough to pen songs.
Once finished, the songs will be musically arranged by the BSO and the children invited to perform them at a special concert.
The Queen’s Park pupils penned the words themselves with Paul guiding them in the music writing process.
Head teacher, Dominic Sibeth, said: “Our children already love singing Abba and disco songs in our assemblies.
“We feel music plays a vital role in energising the whole curriculum and provide our children with a wide range of activities throughout the year.”
