Installation of new Rector

The Reverend Vanessa Herrick will be installed as the new Rector of Wimborne Minster on Thursday, 2 February. The service will be conducted by the new Bishop of Salisbury, The Right Reverend Nicholas Holtam, on his first visit to the Parish.

The service, which takes place on the Feast of Candlemas, follows a laid down order for a service for a new Priest appointed to a Parish.

Among those attending the service will be the Lord Lieutenant of Dorset, the High Sheriff, Civic Leaders, many guests of the new Rector and three Sudanese Bishops who are staying in the Diocese of Salisbury, which has a special link with the Sudan stretching back almost 40 years.

The service commences at 7.30pm and all are welcome to attend.
