‘Legal eagles’ from a Dorset law firm will be making a splash in the annual Bournemouth Pier to Pier swim.
The five-strong Ellis Jones team will be swimming the 1.4 miles between Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers on Sunday June 27.
The law contingent will join 1,200 fellow swimmers in the annual charity swim, organised by the British Heart Foundation.
The team includes Sean McNally, Head of the Family Department, and David McWilliam, Head of Personal Injury Department.
Other members are Donna Stevens, Associate, and trainee solicitors Kate Brooks and Katie Taft.
The event, which is described as the ultimate charity sea swim, is expected to raise thousands of pounds to help pay for research into preventing heart disease.
Mr McNally said, “Training in the pool is the easy part. It’s a different ball game swimming in the sea. Four of us are quite apprehensive but this will be David’s fourth time so he really is an old sea dog.
“I am not bothered about how long it takes me. I just want to finish and hopefully raise a lot of money for this fantastic charity.”
