Magic’s back!

Thanks to the local community and the support of the media, Magic the miniature pony has been safely returned to his owner, Jodie Holland.

Ten-month-old Magic, whose primary role is as a therapy pony, was stolen from his field in Longham, Dorset, in March and in an effort to find him, Wave 105, launched an on-air appeal for his safe return.

Magic was found in Southampton and owner Jodie said: “I along with everyone who helps look after Magic is thrilled to have him home. Thankfully, I had Magic microchipped, so when the police were notified of his whereabouts and scanned his microchip they knew it was him. It will be a couple of months before he can visit the children at Julia’s House children’s hospice as some of our other ponies do, as he needs to recover from his ordeal, but he’ll be back in no time! There has been so much support from local media and we owe a special thank you to the Wave 105 listener who found him.”

Wave 105 teatime presenter, Andy Jackson said: “We had numerous calls with potential sightings and we are pleased that our on-air campaign helped contribute to the safe return of Magic!”
