Minster Mayhem

The heat was on, there was jostling at the start line, dropped pancakes, tears of joy and a few tears of disappointment.  It was the Pancake race around the Minster on Shrove Tuesday.

The crowd cheered as commentator, Ray Arnold, egged on the competitors.

The 2009 trophy went to Scott Taylor. It was his third attempt at the title.  He would have won last year, but he forgot to cross the finish line and the year before he suffered an injury in slippery conditions.  Proud of his trophy, he said he would definitely be back to defend it in 2010.
