Money raised for a walk along the wall

Ringwood shoppers' generosity helped Ringwood Waldorf School raise £1 a minute in the Furlong Centre last week.

About twenty children from Class 6 at the school played musical instruments and beautiful music flooded through the centre.  In half an hour, their empty music cases were filled with coins and in thirty minutes, they raised £30.

The children were aiming to raise some extra cash to go walking along Hadrian's wall.  The class had been studying Roman History and the plan was to re-enact some of the battle dressed in costume.
