Bob Walter, MP for North Dorset, has started his search to find the best South Asian restaurant in the area to compete for the Tiffin Cup - the award for best South Asian restaurant in Britain.
Following the success of last year's Tiffin Cup competition, in which almost 50 constituencies took part, Bob has been asked to nominate one of the many high quality restaurants in North Dorset to participate in this year’s contest.
The aim of the competition is not only to applaud the quality of South Asian cuisine in Britain, but also to celebrate the diversity of British culture and raise some much needed money for charity. This year, the competition is in aid of the charity World Vision.
Bob said, “This is a great competition and it’s only right that North Dorset should be represented this year. The problem will be choosing which restaurant goes through.
“I look forward to sampling the best local offerings and have no doubt we will give other constituencies a run for their money. This competition is in aid of an important cause – so let’s get nominating.”
