Musical Flower Festival

Wimborne Minster is to hold its first Flower Festival in five years this September with the theme being ‘the gift of music.’

Work began on the project back in January, with people creating life size figures to enhance the arrangements. Local flower clubs, churches, individuals and flower arrangers are now putting together 50 large tableux which will be placed around the Minster alongside the main attraction, the floral carpet, which will run through the centre of the nave.

The festival will be open from Friday 10 September to Monday 13 September. Opening times on Friday and Saturday are 9.30am-7pm, Sunday is 1pm-6pm, and Monday is 9.30am-5.30pm. Admission will be £2.50 for adults and free for children. Any enquiries, contact 01202 888703.
