Five security contractors competed for the 3 year contract to provide security services at Bournemouth’s Castlepoint shopping Park. London based Emprise Services Plc, that has held the contract for 6 years, has been retained to continue what the Castlepoint’s management regard as an essential ambassador service.
Bill Riddle, Operations Manager at the 41 acre site with 44 retail and catering outlets, said that they were pleased that the relationship with Emprise would continue.
“We regard the 13 team members provided by Emprise as Ambassadors for Castlepoint rather than security guards. They do patrol and monitor our security cameras but their more essential role includes, since 2008, a fully qualified First Response Team trained by the South West Ambulance Service, as well as providing vital safety vigilance for the public and stores, in addition to assistance with the flow of traffic, both car and pedestrian, throughout the park.”
Trevor Bence, Director at Emprise, which holds key contracts with many national retailers, said that he was delighted that the conscientious work of their carefully chosen team will continue, “We will be pleased to continue to play our part to keep the malls a safe and vibrant environment for thousands of shoppers.”
