Dr Bill Webster, director of the Centre for the Grief Journey, will be visiting the Hub in Verwood to give a seminar on caring for the bereaved.
Born and educated in Scotland, Dr Bill Webster moved to Canada to become married. After his wife suddenly died, he struggled to come to terms with the loss. As part of his doctoral work at the University of Toronto, he made a study of the grieving process. He has developed grief support programmes in many communities and has extensive experience in helping people come to terms with their loss.
Acknowledged as a dynamic, personable and practical speaker, Dr Bill Webster combines his own story with his knowledge and sense of humour to effectively communicate his message.
The seminar at the Hub is sponsored by Nicholas O’Hara Funeral Directors and is free. The date is 11 May and professionals are invited at 12 midday; the public are invited at 3pm and you can just turn up.
