Olympic torch arrives in West Moors

West Moors Middle School was excited to be involved in the East Dorset Education Partnership Olympic Torch relay recently.

The torch arrived from QE School in Wimborne on 4 March and was transferred to Oakhurst First  School on 8 March. The torch began with the oldest pupil at West Moors Middle School, 14-year-old Luke Fry, and was passed through the years to one of the youngest pupils, 9-year-old Laura Bedford. It was then run to Oakhurst First School by a few eager pupils with Becki Wigley, Head of PE setting the pace.
