On the hunt for local charities

Following the announcement that he will serve a second term of office as Mayor of Christchurch, Cllr David Flagg is asking local charities to put themselves forward to be considered as one of the mayoral charities in the coming year.

Cllr Flagg said: “While I would be happy to continue to support the current mayoral charities, there may be other charitable organisations in Christchurch who would benefit from being one of my charities next year.

“I would be delighted to find out about any deserving local causes before making my final decision.”

Any Christchurch-based charities who would like to be considered as one of Cllr Flagg’s charities should write to the Mayor’s secretary,
