Pregnant teenager missing

Police are appealing for public help in finding a vulnerable pregnant teenager who has gone missing in Bournemouth town centre.

Chelsie O’Donegan, aged 15, was last seen in the Stafford Road area of Bournemouth – between Horseshoe Common and the Lansdowne – during the afternoon of Thursday, 3 June 2010.

Police believe that Chelsie could be in the Boscombe area of east Bournemouth where she has family and friends.
Chelsie is described as white, five feet four inches tall, slim, heavily pregnant and with shoulder length brown hair.

When she went missing, the teenager – who is due to give birth on Thursday 10 June – was wearing a black coat, black jumper, a white T-shirt and black trousers.

Inspector Andy Edwards, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are very concerned for Cheslie’s safety and welfare because of her age and the fact that she is almost at the end of her pregnancy.

I am appealing to Chelsie to contact the police as soon as possible, and for anyone who knows her current or previous whereabouts, since she went missing, to get in touch as soon as possible.

All calls will be treated in the strictest confidence and we are interested in any information – no matter how unimportant or irrelevant people may believe it to be.

My message to anyone who Chelsie may be staying with is please examine your conscience, do the right thing and contact the police in confidence as soon as possible for the sake of Chelsie and her unborn baby,” added Sergeant Edwards.

Anyone who sees Chelsie O’Donegan should immediately dial 999 while anyone with information about her whereabouts since she went missing should call Dorset Police in confidence on 01202 222222.
