Chris Packham made a special appearance at Ringwood Waldorf School along with his python ‘Bitey.’
The Springwatch and Really Wild Show presenter introduced Bitey to pupils who had come to see his hit family show ‘Never Mind the Buzzards.’
Some 250 visitors flocked to see Chris in action after he offered to perform his show in order to support fundraising for an upper school.
“It was lovely to see so many new faces at the school, joining us for this very special evening,” said school spokeswoman, Christine Polyblank.
The school is actively fundraising to replace existing craft workshops with an eco-friendly, two-storey building of four classrooms, a science lab, a library and an art room. It would house children aged 15 to 18 whereas the school’s current provision ends at age 16.
“It’s a pleasure to bring a little wildlife to the Ringwood Waldorf School and to help with their new development appeal,” Chris added.
