Rare Lalique vase expected to make thousands

A rare Lalique vase is expected to make £3,000-£4,000 when it comes up for auction at Lawrences of Crewkerne in July.

Made around 1920, it is designed with Thistles, and unusually for the Lalique factory has a green surface.

Lawrences Auctioneer Simon Jones said, "Usually Lalique items have a frosted or opalescent complexion, it is unusual to see coloured vases from this factory, and also to see it in such good condition. Lalique still retains a huge following from collectors, and we expect interest from all over the world"

The vase will be sold in Crewkerne on July 9.
