The new disabled access route into Ringwood town is, “Done, dusted and in place in good time before Christmas,” said Councillor Steve Rippon-Swaine, who had funded the scheme from his county council allowance for local projects.
“We hope that the young will be able to use the new access to the play area and skate park and, in particular, that disabled persons using the electric buggies will now have a much safer route from Southampton Road into town.”
Mrs Wilson of Ringwood, seen driving through the new access, was delighted that the town council and Councillor Swaine had been able to introduce the new facility for the disabled.
Mrs Cundill from New Forest Access for All, who had been consulted by the town council on the project, was very pleased to see that her group had been able to help create a good safe access into town.
