Rosemary McDonald - This is Your TIC Life

Rosemary McDonald, Manager of Wimborne Tourist Information Centre, got the surprise of her life last Friday evening at Allenbourn School. Thinking she was going to an Abba revival night, she walked into the hall with over 100 guests. They were there to celebrate her twenty-nine years involvement with Wimborne Tourist Information Centre (TIC): twelve as a volunteer and the last seventeen as the manager. After being escorted into the hall and onto the stage by Chris Brown, Wimborne's town crier, she joined many of her colleagues, past and present. She was guided by Anthony Oliver, well known personality of the town, through many of the events of the last thirty years. This was in the format of a 'This is Your Life' presentation with a slideshow of photographs.
