Police are re-appealing for help from the public to help trace a 52-year-old missing man who was last seen over a month ago.
Peter McNay, (of no fixed abode), was reported missing to Whitehaven Police, in Cumbria, on May 5 and it is suspected he may be sleeping rough.
Police wish to find Mr McNay to make sure he is safe and well as he requires regular medication for a health condition and has not been seen for some six weeks now, which is unusual. His belongings were handed into Workington train station, in West Cumbria, on 19th May and he would seem to have no means of supporting himself - this obviously gives Police cause for concern regarding his welfare.
He is described as white, of average height and of slim build with grey hair and possibly a beard. He is quietly spoken with a Scottish accent. He may be wearing light blue trousers and a beige/light brown jacket and a hat.
Police would like to thank the public for their help so far. The latest report was that he may have been spotted on the A66 near Penrith, in North Cumbria, walking towards Appleby during the Horse Fair. Police believe he could be anywhere in the UK but there is a possibility he may have travelled to Glasgow as he is thought to have relatives in that area.
If anyone knows of his whereabouts, or has seen anyone matching his description, please contact Whitehaven police officers at Cumbria Constabulary on 0845 33 00 247 or any police officer.
