Second prize thanks to forum

Teacher Tim Yorke, from Lytchett Matravers is the latest writer from the classes at the Hub in Verwood to taste national success. He has picked up second prize for his short story “The Class Reunion” in a competition organised by the magazine’Writers' Forum.’ His story appears in the February issue.

Tim is looking for a publisher for his children's novel and is working on a collection of short stories from the classroom.

A new series of writing classes at the Hub begins on 22 January. Tutor John Jenkins will be available on the Wednesday morning and evening to have a coffee and chat with anybody interested in joining the group. New members can also turn up on the day at 10 - 12noon or 7 -9p.m.
