Shock car crash in West Moors

The Tap & Railway in West Moors near Ferndown has been forced to close after a car collided into the front of the building.

It happened just after 7pm on Saturday 14 March when a man, believed to be in his eighties, drove his Land Rover into the porch at the front of the premises. Police have revealed that the driver of the vehicle did suffer minor injuries.

Workmen attended on the night of the accident to confirm the building was safe and secure. A structural engineer investigated further damage on 16 March.

Manager of the Tap & Railway, Stephen Mansbridge and his family are still living above the pub, but are unable to use their living room.
