The new splashpark on the Quomps at Christchurch Quay has been officially opened by the Mayor of Christchurch, Cllr Nick Geary, along with the help of scores of children.
The splashpark has taken the place of the old paddling pool and now offers a more modern and varied facility for children, which will be open all year round.
On opening the splashpark, the Mayor said: “Today we finally see the results of this community-based project that has been built for the 21st Century. It provides an innovative, interactive, educational and exciting water-based play area for the local community and visitors to Christchurch which we hope generations of children can enjoy.”
