Great Dorset Dinner Raises £100,000 For Children’s Hospices

The Great Dorset Dinner 2009, which saw 88 delightful dinner parties held across the county in one evening, raised an incredible £100,000 in aid of Julia’s House and Naomi House.

Stunning Dorset houses, from stately homes to manor houses and cosy country cottages, opened their doors to 1,400 guests on Saturday 7 March with the sole aim of raising funds to support life-limited children and their families who live in Dorset.

The unique event, which was only possible thanks to a special organising committee, also hosted a Silent Auction that was beamed into all of the dinner parties taking place that evening, while online bids were also accepted prior to the event.
