TEENAGER JAILED

A teenager has been sent to prison for ten months for burglary, attempted burglary, taking a vehicle without consent and having no motoring insurance.

Steven Alan Payne, aged 19, – who was living in the Upton area of Poole at the time of the offences in October and November, 2008 – was arrested by police in Poole town centre.

Pleading guilty to seven charges, Payne was sentenced to ten months in prison at Bournemouth Crown Court on 23 January, 2009.

Payne pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted burglary, two charges of burglary, two charges of taking a vehicle without consent and two charges of having no motoring insurance.

The court ruled that six points should be placed on Payne’s driving licence for not having motoring insurance.
