A Dorset garden extending to almost two acres with a pond is opening to visitors soon under the National Garden Scheme.
The Glade with its terraced garden, sweeping lawns and big, burgeoning wildlife pond containing fish, frogs and newts is said by its owner to guarantee at least forty-five minutes of sustained interest.
“Over two thousand garden lovers have come to see it over the last few years,” says owner Mary Angus. “You’ll find woodland walks through blossoming trees, wild anemones, primroses, camellias and bluebells.”
The Glade is at Woodland Walk, Ferndown and it will be open on 25 April; 9, 23 May and 6 June. 2pm-5.30pm. Cost £3, children U16 free. Dogs permitted on leads. Funds raised go to the National Garden Scheme and charities. Enquiries on 01202 872789.
